Raise Your Voice Hebburn is open to all adult singers — no auditions, no experience required. If you’re thinking about joining us, here’s everything you need to know.
We offer all potential new members a free taster session. Please use the contact form to book your first session.

Rehearsals
When: Tuesdays, 7pm–9pm Where: Jordan’s Sports Bar, 21 Brighton Parade, Hebburn, NE31 2AB
What to bring:
Printed lyrics in a plain black folder
Pencil and notebook
Bottle of water
Phone on silent (recording harmonies is welcome)
Regular attendance helps us perform confidently as a group. If you miss a rehearsal, please use the provided materials to catch up. If you can’t attend, please let Becky know as soon as possible.
Membership Fees
Membership is £23 per month, paid by standing order on the 1st working day of each month. This covers a minimum of 40 rehearsals per year.
Additional details:
If you join mid‑month, your first payment is £7 per week until your standing order begins.
Optional extra rehearsals (e.g., before performances) are £7 per session.
Fees are non‑refundable and non‑transferable.
Payment plans may be available in exceptional circumstances.
Communication & Online Tools
To keep everyone connected and informed, we use:
Private Facebook Group – rehearsal materials and internal updates
WhatsApp Community – quick announcements and member chat
Google Drive – access to lyrics and practice tracks
Public Facebook Page – events and general updates
Members' Page of website - sharing latest updates, rehearsal news and performance requirements.
If you need help accessing materials or don’t have a printer, just let us know.
Uniform & Merchandise
To take part in performances, members will need:
A Raise Your Voice Hebburn t‑shirt (details provided on joining)
Black trousers
Smart black shoes
Some performances have additional requirements. Uniform requirements for each event will be shared in advance whenever possible.
Attendance & Expectations
By joining the choir, members agree to:
Attend weekly rehearsals where possible
Arrive on time and ready to sing
Use provided materials to stay up to date
Follow rehearsal etiquette (minimal talking, phones on silent, etc.)
Let the musical director know if they cannot attend
Only perform when they feel prepared and have attended the required rehearsals.
Code of Conduct
We aim to create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment. Members agree to:
Treat everyone with kindness and respect
Support fellow singers
Use social media and group chats responsibly
Respect privacy and consent
Communicate concerns directly and constructively
Represent the choir positively at all times
In return, we promise to provide a safe, inclusive space, high‑quality musical direction, and clear communication.
